IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING LEAF PICKUP The Town of Poseyville will be picking up leaves through the end of November. Please DO NOT put leaves in the street. They can get into the storm drains and stop them up which will cause water to stand in the streets after it rains. If blowing leaves are a concern, you can put your leaves in bags and put the bags to the curb. Be sure not to have any sticks or limbs in your leaves or we can not pick them up because it would damage the leaf vacuum.
The Town of Poseyville is a small community located in the southwest tip of Indiana approximately 22 miles northwest of Evansville. The population as of the 2000 census is 1187. The town is governed by a Town Council. Poseyville Municipal Utilities is owned and operated by the Town. The Poseyville Municipal Utilities furnishes water, sewer and natural gas. The office is located in the Town Hall building at 20 S. Cale St. The office hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday The after hours emergency number is 874-2212. This number is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week
